Branded Products

The LEGO® Trademark
All care and effort has been put into making this website as useful and enjoyable as possible. This includes the use of only official LEGO® elements in the creation and development of Minifigures, unless otherwise indicated during the creation process. However, once we edit or customise them, they no longer are considered official LEGO® products.

LEGO® is a trademark of the LEGO Group of companies. The LEGO Group does not sponsor, authorise or endorse this website no an of the customised/modified products or sets shown on it nor does it accept responsibility in any way, shape or form for any unforeseen and/or adverse consequences following from such customisation/modification.

LEGO® Elements
As in accordance with the LEGO® Fair Play policy, available from their website (http://aboutus.lego.com/en-us/legal-notice/fair-play), we have ensured that the LEGO® Logo is not used anywhere on our site. However, all elements used for our Minifigures are 100% official LEGO® elements unless otherwise stated. The product of a Personalised Minifigure is a caricature based on the LEGO® elements that have been previously released by LEGO®.

Other Elements
If, for any reason any element of the created Minifigures is not an official LEGO® element, we will clearly mark it or make the customer aware of this. Obviously, the displays sold with the Minifigures are not using official LEGO® elements – but, again, this information will be clearly marked in the product discription.

Other LEGO® Sets and Products
Please note, we also sell on reduced LEGO® sets or LEGO® Minifigures that are either retired stock, have been reduced in price or have become collectors’ items. These products are 100% official LEGO® Sets, but we are not an official LEGO® Retailer.

Product Postage and Shipping

UK Delivery
Based in the United Kingdom (UK), Build Me Mini offers postage and packing rates that include the cost of the postal service (Royal Mail or separate delivery company or driver) as well as basic packaging costs. By agreeing to the Terms when proceeding through the checkout, you agree to these prices and understand that these are non-negotiable. Delivery costs for orders with 50+ products may be legible for discounts, please email us to request a customised quotation.

International Delivery (Delivery outside of the UK)
We now offer international delivery to most countries around the world. Please note that the International Delivery options do not include any import, customs or internal delivery fees that may be incurred by delivering to a country outside of the United Kingdom.

Build Me Mini offers postage and packing rates that include the cost of the delivery company as well as basic packaging costs. By agreeing to the Terms when proceeding through the checkout, you agree to these prices and understand that these are non-negotiable. Delivery costs for orders with 50+ products may be legible for discounts, please email us to request a customised quotation.

For personalised minifigure products, (where a proof has been selected in the options) a proof photo will be emailed out prior to dispatch. We will require confirmation that the customer is happy with the proof before dispatch. We will continue to attempt contact but if confirmation is not received before 6 weeks after the order was placed, we will determine the best course of action (and reserve the right to dispatch, completing the order without a possibility of changes).

VAT, Taxes & Charges for International Customers
Unfortunately, our international customers should expect to pay International import charges, taxes and fees when we ship to you. There is no change in these fees for all non-EU countries – but all EU customers should read the EU VAT section carefully.

If a customer fails to pay the import charges requested by their local courier/delivery provider, the items will be returned to Build Me Mini. If your items were personalised, the customer will not be eligible for a refund (please see section on refunds). If the customer still wishes to recieve the items, they will have 1 calendar month to pay the Build Me Mini a second round of postage and once again will be responsible for the import VAT, charges and taxes once the item arrives in their country.

We charge VAT to our UK customers, but this will be automatically deducted for customers shipping to addresses outside of the UK. Non UK customers will not be able to pay taxes, charges or VAT in our checkout – so these charges are likely to be added when your item reaches your customs or local delivery provider.

EU VAT and BREXIT
The UK left the EU on the 1st January 2021. The EU have not been clear about all the charges and fees that are applicable to customers importing from the UK. But we know that as of July 2021, the EU will be rolling out a new VAT structure which means that VAT will be charged on ALL imports from the UK.

This means that EU customers should expect to pay extra funds to receive their items from customs, once your parcel arrives in your country. These charges will be at least VAT, but may also include other taxes and charges – which are at the EU’s discretion. Build Me Mini do not accept responsibility for these charges. All import charges, taxes and fees must be paid by the customer.

If a customer fails to pay the import charges requested by their local courier/delivery provider, the items will be returned to Build Me Mini. If your items were personalised, the customer will not be eligible for a refund (please see section on refunds). If the customer still wishes to recieve the items, they will have 1 calendar month to pay the Build Me Mini a second round of postage and once again will be responsible for the import VAT, charges and taxes once the item arrives in their country.

Next Working Day Delivery
Build Me Mini offers a “Next Working Day Delivery” option on all of its products. This applies to the delivery times only and does not factor in the creation of custom items. It is important to note that if you are purchasing a custom product (including personalised minifigures or frames) the standard production time of 10 working days still apply. Next working day delivery means that once the items have been created (and where applicable, customer confirmation that they are happy with the product has been received), the item will be posted out via an appropriate shipping method.

It’s also important to note that orders completed, confirmed or placed after 2pm GMT will be processed or sent out the following working day, on top of any production times.

Please note that Next Working Day Delivery is only available to customers in the United Kingdom.

Packaging and Damages
Build Me Mini will package products as securely as possible to enable product protection and safe transit, however on occasion the packaging may become damaged. If the product packaging arrives damaged, but the product is still safe – we would consider this a safe delivery and any cosmetic damages to the packaging will lie firmly with the postage service. If the product has become damaged beyond repair – we will review the situation on its individual basis but please note, we cannot be held responsible for damages caused by the delivery services.

In the cases where the product is damaged beyond repair, we will offer to seek compensation on your behalf with the delivery company but cannot guarantee a financial settlement. Please note, in the case of frames and displays, if the figure has come away from the brick it is mounted on (and/or an accessory has come apart from a figure), we would not consider this to be damaged. It can be resolved by simply clicking the parts back together.

Please note, if you are seeking compensation for damaged items and wish for us to pursue this for you with the delivery company – we will need photographic evidence. Our delivery companies have an extensive list of photos required before a claim can be validated and filed. You can speed up the process by filling in this form which will take you through the list of requirements.

We will require photography of 1 – the outer packaging (showing shipping label, if possible); 2 – Postal label (if not shown in picture 1); 3 – Inner Packaging Photo; 4 Product damage photo to make a successful claim.

User Agreement

In General
Build Me Mini (“www.buildmemini.co.uk & www.minifigureme.co.uk”) owns and operate this Website. This document governs your relationship with www.buildmemini.co.uk & www.minifigureme.co.uk (“Website”). Access to and use of this Website and the products and services available through this Website (collectively, the “Services”) are subject to the following terms, conditions and notices (the “Terms of Service”). By using the Services, you are agreeing to all of the Terms of Service, as may be updated by us from time to time. You should check this page regularly to take notice of any changes we may have made to the Terms of Service.

Access to this Website is permitted on a temporary basis, and we reserve the right to withdraw or amend the Services without notice. We will not be liable if for any reason this Website is unavailable at any time or for any period. From time to time, we may restrict access to some parts or all of this Website. This Website may contain links to other websites (the “Linked Sites”), which are not operated by www.buildmemini.co.uk & www.minifigureme.co.uk. www.buildmemini.co.uk & www.minifigureme.co.uk has no control over the Linked Sites and accepts no responsibility for them or for any loss or damage that may arise from your use of them. Your use of the Linked Sites will be subject to the terms of use and service contained within each such site.

Gift Vouchers
Gift Vouchers will be emailed to the recipient within 24 hours of purchase and will be valid for one calendar year. Gift Vouchers are non-refundable and cannot be redeemed for cash or further gift vouchers. Gift Voucher emails will appear as indicated in the product description. Vouchers can only be redeemed though the Build Me Mini website and can be used by entering the code at the checkout. If your voucher does not work – please contact us through the contact page. Occasionally voucher emails can appear get caught in junk or spam filters, so it’s recommended that a customer giving a Voucher should check to see that the recipient has received the gift voucher.

Privacy Policy
Our privacy policy, which sets out how we will use your information, can be found below the User Agreement on this page. By using this Website, you consent to the processing described therein and warrant that all data provided by you is accurate.

Prohibitions
You must not misuse this Website. You will not: commit or encourage a criminal offense; transmit or distribute a virus, trojan, worm, logic bomb or any other material which is malicious, technologically harmful, in breach of confidence or in any way offensive or obscene; hack into any aspect of the Service; corrupt data; cause annoyance to other users; infringe upon the rights of any other person’s proprietary rights; send any unsolicited advertising or promotional material, commonly referred to as “spam”; or attempt to affect the performance or functionality of any computer facilities of or accessed through this Website. Breaching this provision would constitute a criminal offense and www.buildmemini.co.uk & www.minifigureme.co.uk will report any such breach to the relevant law enforcement authorities and disclose your identity to them.

We will not be liable for any loss or damage caused by a distributed denial-of-service attack, viruses or other technologically harmful material that may infect your computer equipment, computer programs, data or other proprietary material due to your use of this Website or to your downloading of any material posted on it, or on any website linked to it.

Intellectual Property, Software and Content
The intellectual property rights in all software and content (including photographic images) made available to you on or through this Website remains the property of www.buildmemini.co.uk & www.minifigureme.co.uk or its licensors and are protected by copyright laws and treaties around the world. All such rights are reserved by www.buildmemini.co.uk & www.minifigureme.co.uk and its licensors. You may store, print and display the content supplied solely for your own personal use. You are not permitted to publish, manipulate, distribute or otherwise reproduce, in any format, any of the content or copies of the content supplied to you or which appears on this Website nor may you use any such content in connection with any business or commercial enterprise.

Terms of Sale
By placing an order you are offering to purchase a product on and subject to the following terms and conditions. All orders are subject to availability and confirmation of the order price. Dispatch times may vary according to availability and subject to any delays resulting from postal delays or force majeure for which we will not be responsible. Usually custom orders take a production time of two weeks, however you will be notified once an order is placed. In some cases a delay may occur beyond the projected timeline, in these cases the customer will be notified immediately and alternative arrangements will be suggested to them. We cannot be held responsible for postal delivery times.

(a) Our Contract 
When you place an order, you will receive an acknowledgement e-mail confirming receipt of your order: this email will only be an acknowledgement and will not constitute acceptance of your order. A contract between us will not be formed until we send you confirmation by e-mail that the goods which you ordered have been dispatched to you. Only those goods listed in the confirmation e-mail sent at the time of dispatch will be included in the contract formed.

(b) Pricing and Availability
Whilst we try and ensure that all details, descriptions and prices which appear on this Website are accurate, errors may occur. If we discover an error in the price of any goods which you have ordered we will inform you of this as soon as possible and give you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling it. If we are unable to contact you we will treat the order as cancelled. If you cancel and you have already paid for the goods, you will receive a full refund.
Delivery costs will be charged in addition; such additional charges are clearly displayed where applicable and included in the ‘Total Cost’.

(c) Payment
Upon receiving your order we carry out a standard authorization check on your payment card to ensure there are sufficient funds to fulfil the transaction. Your card will be debited upon authorisation being received. The monies received upon the debiting of your card shall be treated as a deposit against the value of the goods you wish to purchase. Once the goods have been despatched and you have been sent a confirmation email the monies paid as a deposit shall be used as consideration for the value of goods you have purchased as listed in the confirmation email. Please note that any funds not provided at the time of purchase, or funds withdrawn/cancelled/withheld during the order and production process will increase the time to produce personalised items by the amount of time that the funds are unavailable. All funds must have fully cleared before personalised production is commenced.

(d) Proof Photos 
Some products offered by Build Me Mini have an optional proof photo extra. This is a premium feature that is charged accordingly at the time of purchase. This premium extra enables the customer to receive a photo of their finished product before Build Me Mini ship it. The proof photo will be emailed to the customer on or before the 10th working day (note, working days do not include weekends, bank holidays or office closure days). The proof photo may be used to let Build Me Mini know if the customer needs to change the text or parts used on some figures. These changes are not always possible and are not included within the cost of the purchased product or the proof photo. Changes at this stage will be quoted to the customer by Build Me Mini and must be paid for in full before they are implemented. Please note that once an order has been placed with Build Me Mini with a proof photo added, Build Me Mini cannot offer refunds for the product or the proof photo – even if the proof photo is unacceptable to the customer. The customer does have the right to request additional photos of the item, however (no more than 3 photos per proof photo ordered). If Build Me Mini do not receive a confirmation within 1-2 weeks of sending the customer a proof photo, Build Me Mini will try and send out a reminder email. If Build Me Mini do not hear back from the customer within 4 weeks of emailing the proof photo, Build Me Mini will move your item to be dispatched.

(d) Refunds – Personalised Items

Due to the nature of our personalised products, we are sadly not able to offer a refund, unless the item faulty. We will always do our best to ensure the personalised item is as close to what is possible and do offer a proofing service to ensure you’re happy before dispatching. If any item of the the order is faulty, we offer a refund for the individual faulty element of the order or a replacement free of charge.

We offer proof photos prior to dispatch to ensure the customer is happy with the figure that has been assembled. One it has been accepted, it will be dispatched and cannot be returned or refunded. If an amicable agreement regarding the creation of the figure cannot be reached prior to proof confirmation, a partial refund may be available which will take into account the time and effort put into the creation of the figure up to that point in the process.

If a customer opts out of the proofing process, we they also opt out the ability to feedback or request changes to their personalised item included within the original cost. However, they may request additional parts to be dispatched to them at an additional cost.

If an item is undelivered due to any of the following reasons, the customer will still not be eligible for a refund due the personalised nature of the product. 1 – A delivery was attempted but was not collected from the courier depot/re-arranged for redelivery; 2 – A delivery charge was due for imports and was not paid; 3 – An incorrect or incomplete delivery address / contact information was provided at the checkout; 4 – Delivery or proof information was delivered to a spam/junk inbox due to the customer not adding

If any of the above apply, the customer may request a second delivery attempt at an additional charge.

(e) Refunds – Non Personalised Items

This section of our policy applies to non-personalised items only. See Personalised Order Returns Policy (d) for any items that have personalised text or have been assembled to your specifications.

Thanks for purchasing products from Build Me Mini. We’re sorry you’re considering a return ☹️ But don’t worry – we can help. In the unlikely event that you are unsatisfied with the products you have ordered, you may return your non-personalised items in the original state that you received them for a full refund to the value of the goods purchased.

You have 14 days to return the items and can be sent to Build Me Mini, at the postal address on our contact page. We will refund your original postage paid at the time of ordering, upon a successful return – but the return postage is the customers’ responsibility (unless Build Me Mini are at fault). It is worth noting that if you choose to send your item via untracked and uninsured delivery, we will not cover the cost of the returned items that are lost in the post. It will be the customers’ responsibility to claim via the postal method they chose in these cases.

Please note that our team of professionals will inspect the returns upon receiving them and check that they are still in the condition in which they were originally sold. The product must be in the same condition that you receive them and undamaged in any way. If they are damaged, replaced or parts missing, we may not be able to offer a refund and cannot refund postal costs.

Upon a successful return, we will issue you with a refund via PayPal or Stripe (the original method of payment used at the time of purchase). Credentials for the PayPal account or Card Details are not managed by Build Me Mini and it is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that they have access to the account the refund will appear in. You can contact PayPal for any issues that arise through the PayPal UK website. Or, if you paid by card (using Apple Pay, Android Pay or other card payment method), please contact us directly and we will do our best to assist you with an update on your refund process.

This process will be actioned within 2 working days of receiving the return and the refund paid to the original payment source usually within 14 days – although this will depend on PayPal or Stripe’s terms and conditions.

Sadly, if the product is damaged in any way, or you have initiated the return after 14 calendar days have passed, you will not be eligible for a refund.

(f) Mutual Respect 
The personalised product process involves communication with our staff, usually via email. In all cases, whichever method of contact, aggression and harassment of Build Me Mini staff will not be tolerated. Should a staff member feel threatened or emotionally concerned by a correspondence from a customer – we reserve the right to refuse the continuation of the project without refund. We will submit evidence of mistreatment to the police, relevant authorities or agencies along with the contact details of the the assailant. Customers who do not treat our staff with respect and manors are breaching their contract with us and are not entitled to any products, services, refunds or data protection. We always do our best to treat all orders with care and respect, but in the unlikely event that a customer is unhappy with the level of service that they have received, please email us at info@buildmemini.co.uk – but we would ask and expect all customers to respect our staff in the same way that they themselves would like to be treated.

Promotions (including expired, current and future promotions)

All our promotional prices, offers and discounts are subject to all the regular terms and conditions that apply to orders placed on the Build Me Mini website. This includes the production times and communication system. All our promotional prices, offers and discounts are independent and cannot be used in conjunction (or ‘stacked’) with other offers or discounts unless otherwise specifically stated on the offer page. Build Me Mini reserves the right to withdraw, amend or cancel any discount offer at any time or refuse a discount to specific customers with no warning or explantation. Promotional discounts are only available while supplies last; non-transferable, not for resale, and not redeemable for cash; and apply only for the specific products in our personalised shop category for the term of the discount period only. Promotional discounts cannot be used or applied to an order has been placed.

Where a promotional price, offer or discount refers to ‘Personalised Items’ – it is referring to items that are categorised by Build Me Mini as such. Currently, this includes our Personalised Minifigures and our personalised frames only. Personalised plates and other displays are not included.

Where a promotional price, offer or discount refers to ‘Personalised Keyrings’ – it is referring to items that are categorised by Build Me Mini as such. Currently, this includes our personalised figures on keyrings, found under the ‘Keyrings’ category only. Personalised figures or existing LEGO® Keyring Products are not included.

Where a promotional price, offer or discount refers to another specific term, it is referring to items that are categorised by Build Me Mini as such only. Promotions do not apply to discounted items or products that do not fall into the discounted category, nor do promotions apply to any services offered by Build Me Mini up to and including proof photos, postage and shipping costs.

Free Shipping Promotion

We are now offering, for a limited time only, free shipping to UK customers spending £35 or more on our website. The total spend must be made up from our products and services only, additional shipping or other costs added at the checkout are not included in the total calculation. Cost of postage is not transferrable or refundable. Any product returns may incur additional charges. Free shipping will be actioned using the most cost-effective method based on the products ordered. Offer applies to orders delivered to UK Mainland only. Build Me Mini reserve the right to withdraw or amend the offer at any time.

We do not store credit card details nor do we share customer financial details with any 3rd parties
In order to contract with www.buildmemini.co.uk & www.minifigureme.co.uk you must be over 18 years of age and possess a valid credit or debit card issued by a bank acceptable to us. www.buildmemini.co.uk & www.minifigureme.co.uk retains the right to refuse any request made by you. If your order is accepted we will inform you by email and we will confirm the identity of the party which you have contracted with. This will usually be www.buildmemini.co.uk & www.minifigureme.co.uk or may in some cases be a third party. Where a contract is made with a third party www.buildmemini.co.uk & www.minifigureme.co.uk is not acting as either agent or principal and the contract is made between yourself and that third party and will be subject to the terms of sale which they supply you. When placing an order you undertake that all details you provide to us are true and accurate, that you are an authorized user of the credit or debit card used to place your order and that there are sufficient funds to cover the cost of the goods. The cost of foreign products and services may fluctuate. All prices advertised are subject to such changes.

Invalidity
If any part of the Terms of Service is unenforceable (including any provision in which we exclude our liability to you) the enforceability of any other part of the Terms of Service will not be affected all other clauses remaining in full force and effect. So far as possible where any clause/sub-clause or part of a clause/sub-clause can be severed to render the remaining part valid, the clause shall be interpreted accordingly. Alternatively, you agree that the clause shall be rectified and interpreted in such a way that closely resembles the original meaning of the clause /sub-clause as is permitted by law.

Complaints
We operate a complaints handling procedure which we will use to try to resolve disputes when they first arise, please let us know if you have any complaints or comments.

Waiver
If you breach these conditions and we take no action, we will still be entitled to use our rights and remedies in any other situation where you breach these conditions.

Entire Agreement
The above Terms of Service constitute the entire agreement of the parties and supersede any and all preceding and contemporaneous agreements between you and www.buildmemini.co.uk & www.minifigureme.co.uk. Any waiver of any provision of the Terms of Service will be effective only if in writing and signed by a Director of www.buildmemini.co.uk & www.minifigureme.co.uk.

Privacy Policy

Information that is gathered from visitors
In common with other websites, log files are stored on the web server saving details such as the visitor’s IP address, browser type, referring page and time of visit. Cookies may be used to remember visitor preferences when interacting with the website. Where registration is required, the visitor’s email and a username will be stored on the server.

User supplied Photos
During the purchase for a personalised minifigure (and other personalised products), the user has the option of uploading a photograph of the individual that the figure will be based upon. This is at the users descretion and there is no obligation to do so (however providing a photo will ensure that the figure is a more accurate caricature). We cannot be held responsible for insecure connections or third party interceptions. The photo is uploaded at the users own risk. However we will do our best to ensure that the photo is kept secure by removing the photos after the order is complete. Up until this time, the user agrees that the photo will be accessible online to the Build Me Mini team and to anyone who has the URL to the uploaded image. All order-supplied photos will be deleted from our servers at six month intervals. They may be retained on one local computer as a backup and record for orders, but they will never be shared or used for any other purpose. If the user would prefer that the photo be completely removed from the local backup, they can do so by contacting us from our contact page and requesting it be removed. In the cases where no backup is kept, we cannot be held responsible on figure inaccuracies once the figure has been dispatched.

How the information is used
The information is used to enhance the vistor’s experience when using the website to display personalised content and possibly advertising. E-mail addresses will not be sold, rented or leased to 3rd parties. E-mail will be used to confirm or update you on orders that you have placed on our website. E-mail may also be sent to inform you of news of our services or offers by us or our affiliates. If you would like to opt out of this, please simply respond to one of these emails with ‘Unsubscribe’ in the subject line.

Visitor options
If you have subscribed to one of our services, you may unsubscribe by following the instructions which are included in e-mail that you receive. You may be able to block cookies via your browser settings but this may prevent you from access to certain features of the website.
